My Great (5) Grandfather Jeremiah Durand was born in Oxford, Connecticut in 1749 and was baptised at Oxford Congregational Church. He married his first wife there in 1772. After his wife died in 1776 he enlisted in the Continental Army and served until 1780. After his discharge he moved to Fair Haven, Vermont were he met and married his second wife Sarah Andrews who was my Great (5) Grandmother.
Thank you for serving God and the people of Oxford for over two centuries.
John – So great to hear your connection to our church! Stop in anytime – would love to shake your hand. – Rich Gee
